About the Role We are looking for an independent, creative and highly motivated Backend Developer to join our product team. You will be strongly involved in the day to day development of our products. You will be in close contact with front-end developers and designers, and you will help to gather and to evaluate user requirements. Location Smart working - up to 3 days remote and presential in Itaim Bibi office

THIS ROLE REQUIRES YOU TO - Working within the product team to define the customers' and the business problems - Always researching and bringing forward new findings and learnings in products development. - Contribute to validating problems, designing improvements or proposing new technology in product development - Participating in ongoing design reviews and iterations during the sprint - Building and maintaining clean and testable code

THIS ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES - Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic - Building reusable code and libraries for future use - Optimisation of the application for maximum speed and scalability - Implementation of security and data protection - Design and implementation of data storage solutions - Design and maintenance of infrastructure

WHAT SKILLS YOU'LL NEED - Understand technical implications in design decisions - Experience working in an agile environment - Fluent in English - Degree in Computer Science or related field or at least one year of experience - Clean visual design sense - Understanding of fundamental design principles - User authentication and authorisation between multiple systems, servers, and environments - Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system - Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes (Knowledge of google cloud will be a plus) - Data migration, transformation, and scripting - Setup and administration of backups - Outputting data in different formats - Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs desktop, and optimising output to match the specific platform - Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes - Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests - Proficient knowledge of a back-end programming language Ruby on Rails - Knowledge of Python is a plus - Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git - Proficient understanding of OWASP security principles - Understanding of “session management” in a distributed server environment
